  2. Project Overview Space Exploration Second graders are setting the date and applying their research to their committee work in order to have songs, skits, dances, art displays, books and movies ready for Space Night, 2014! We hope to see you all there!

I Can: • Draw conclusions and confirm predictions. • Make new observations when there is disagreement among initial observations.  • Investigate by observing Reading Connections A World in Motion Pinball Designer Noise Level 1 This week you will be working in stations to explore science, engineering, mathematics and technology by building, testing, and modifying a non-electronic pinball machine that meets certain criteria. • Monday: Pinball Wizards and Launch Ramps • Tuesday: Playing Pinball • Wednesday: Walls Get in My Way and Trying Targets • Thursday: Scoring Points and Banging Bumpers • Friday: Build Your Pinball Machine Materials Needed Pencils, Pinball kits, Pinball packets Project Connection: Planets, Space, Moon phases

Use this time to create your movie, book, poem, song, skit and artwork. Be sure to think about and start collecting any materials that you will need for your part of the project.
