This project aims to create a home environment that effortlessly adapts to the needs of its inhabitants through intuitive gesture recognition. Utilizing a Microsoft Kinect sensor, the team focuses on home automation in the living room, allowing users to control devices simply by gesturing. Users can assign gestures to various actions, such as turning lights on/off, dimming lights, and controlling A/V equipment. The system will also enable control over IR-based devices and a computer, all through distinct gesture and voice command interpretations for seamless interaction.
