  6. The Pledge of Allegiance • I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

  9. Republic • A republic is a political system or form of government where the people elect their leaders. • I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic (the political system that allows for people to elect their leaders) for which it stands.

  10. Indivisible • Means unable to be divided. • one nation under God, indivisible, • We are a united nation that will not be divided.

  11. Liberty • The right to choose, think, act without being forced • Freedom from captivity or slavery • one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty (right to choose, think, act without being forced) and justice for all.
