  2. Mandatory Parking Added to Project ID • Mandatory participation in Project ID for the privilege to receive a parking permit for Auburn High School • Safety for our students on campus

History • October 2003 – Grant awarded to ACS for the Voluntary Drug Testing Program • One of Eight demonstration grants in the U.S. • December 2003 – March 2004 – Steering committee & public forums • May 2004 – Auburn City Schools Board of Education passes Drug Testing Policy for a voluntary student drug testing program • Fall 2005 – After overcoming many delays, ACS begins enrolling students in the program and performs the first drug tests under the program • Summer 2006 – No Cost Extension requested for the grant and awarded • Summer 2007 – Second No Cost Extension requested for the grant and awarded • September 2008 – End of federal grant for Project ID • Winter 2009 - Auburn City Schools Board of Education approved a recommendation tying Parking Privileges to Project ID
