Paninindiganngmgamiyembronitonabumusogsaisa’t-isaangpagkakaisa, katapatan, at tiwalaupangmakamitangisangmatibay at matagumpaynaorganisasyon. • MISSION Layuninng KALAYAAN namaiangatangantassabuhayngmgakasapinito, sapamamagitanngmagkakaroonngsarilinglupain kung saansama-samangnagkakaisa at nagtutulunganangmgakapwamiyembronito. Naisrinnamakamitng KALAYAAN namakipagsalamuhasaiba’t-ibangmgaorganisasyonupanglumawakangmgakasapinitosapakikipagtulungansakapwasakaunlaranngbuhay. • OBJECTIVES Gabayngmgamoralidadngpagigingmakatao at makadiyos, sinisikapngorganisasyonangmgasumusunodnalayunin: • Na makamitanghangarinnalupain, upangmagtaguyodngisangkomunidad, at magkaroonngkooperatiba at multi-purpose hall. • Na makasaliangmgamiyembronitosamgaprogramangpangkabuhayan, gamitangpakikipagbahagingiba’t-ibangkasapinitongkani-kanilangmgakaalaman at kakayahan. • Na makipagtulungansamga LGU, at mapasamasamgaproyektonggobyerno at iba’t-ibangmga NGO na may katuladnalayuninsapagpapaunladngkabuhayan. • Na magkaisa at magtulunganangmgamiyembronitosapamamagitanngpagsisikap, pagtiyaga at pagaaralngiba’t-ibangparaanngpagdagdagngkitaupangmaitaasangantassabuhay.

Recommended Strategies and Programs • Instill basic medical and health skills within members of the organization KALAYAAN • correct knowledge and practice • teachings of topics that are relevant to them and the community around the area. • The strategies for the programs can be divided into four categories: • training of health workers, • organizing a health committee, • an awareness and health education campaign • fund generation or resource mobilization

Recommended Strategies and Programs • Thus, guided by the vision of ensuring a long-term and sustainable health program within the organization, the group strives to complete the following: • To help raise funds for the materials needed to train the health workers, to ensure a sustainable project via different fund-raisers and other solicitations. • To train, support and supervise community health workers or volunteers • To teach specific individuals the proper way of taking vital signs with the proper technique of using a sphygmomanometer and the uses of a stethoscope. • To teach different first aid techniques via a BLS seminar, with proper certification • To teach the health workers on how to use the IMCI (Integrated Management of Childhood Illness) charts for better care of the common diseases of children. • To help the members of the organization to acquire PhilHealth insurance, and to teach them its uses and benefits.

Sample B: Instructional Design for Healthcare Worker Training MODULE: Vital Signs TOPICS INCLUDED: • Temperature • Heart Rate/ Pulse Rate • Respiratory Rate • Blood Pressure At the end of the day, the learner will be able to: • discuss the relevant anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology • perform the techniques in measuring each vital sign • know the normal and abnormal values of each vital signs for the different age groups • formulate possible differentials for abnormalities in each vital signs • recognize the danger signs and know when to seek medical attention
