Fear of the blank page…. Round One…. I am going to give you two words. You are going to write about one of those two words for one minute. You must write for the whole minute no matter what, but you can write about whatever you want.

  2. Round One… I am going to give you two words. You are going to write about one of those two words for one minute. You must write for the whole minute no matter what, but you can write about whatever you want. Just remember, you MUST use the word you choose in your writing at least once.

  3. Round One… Now, draw a line under your writing. Count how many words you have and write that number under the line.

  4. Speed Writing

  5. Now, round two… • I am going to give you one word, and you are going to give me another word. • You are to write about one of these two words for another minute. • It doesn’t matter which word you choose, but you MUST write for the entire minute and use the word at least ONCE.

  6. Round Two… Now, draw a line under your writing. Count how many words you have and write that number under the line.

  7. Speed Writing

  8. Now, round three… • Now, you are going to give me two words. • You are to write about one of these two words for another minute. • It doesn’t matter which word you choose, but you MUST write for the entire minute and use the word at least ONCE.

  9. What did you notice about each round of writing? Did you improve? Did your thoughts increase in depth?
