  2. Vision • Fairfax County Public Schools health and physical education program is recognized as an effective instructional program that provides information and learning experiences that enable students to participate in a commitment to lifelong personal wellness.

  3. Cluster Professional Development Days • ½ day Instructional Focus (AM) • PLC’s – 3 big ideas • HORIZON – in-depth • ½ day Observation / Team Time (PM) • 2 schools – approximate groups of 7-8.

  26. E&E/Active Learning HORIZON • Create like of the an item • Go to question bank – Choose an item from the test that you want to modify • Copy ID number and create like for that item • Paste item ID # /copy and modify the item

  27. E&E/Active Learning HORIZON • Retrieve copy of the original test • From search • From link next to the “Create New Test” tab • Rename and add (plus icon) an item • Paste the ID number for the modified item • Save and close

  28. NEXT STEPS • Create Flexible Groups (grades 3 & 6) • Join the pilot! • Choice a skill Theme • Create an assessments • Start small – one class, 5 or >5 questions

After Lunch… • Please eat as a group if possible • After lunch, please divide into two groups • 1 group and 1 lead teacher @ each school • Check-in & out @ main office • Please plan to use any time that you are not observing… • To meet as a cluster group with lead teacher • Discuss the purpose for the group • Come up with your top 3! (topics for cluster meetings this spring)
