  1. KC Academy 2010 Fall Update The staff of the Academy have trained just over 410 men this past fall, which includes men from 4 new councils, 3 one on one, hour long training sessions and one session in Spanish. Attendees include 12 District Deputy's, 15 State Elected or Selected officers, 40 Grand Knights, 47 Deputy Grand Knights, 17 F.S.'s and the remaining are made up of the remaining various council Officers. Feed back has been very positive with council asking for one on one training

  3. Guidance Objectives To guide Councils officers and members to be the best they can be, by offering over 12 different topics of training and guidance classes.

  4. Guiding of Council Leadership Includes • Guiding Council leadership to work as a team with a positive attitude • How to effectively increase communications and information and making sure it is shared with all the members on a timely basis • Succession planning

  5. Who should attend the training sessions. • Elected Council Officers – • Grand Knight • Deputy Grand Knight • Trustees (3) • Chancellor • Recorder • Treasurer • Advocate • Warden, Inside Guard, Outside Guard

  6. Guidance includes Council Officer Duties such as • Who files and when reports should be filed. • Retention process from start to finish • The benefits of an admission committee • Time commitments • Who can they turn to in times of need or uncertainty

Why Should I hold an Academy in my District • 92 % of Councils who attend the training sessions have at least a plus 1 or up to 50% of membership goal already this year. • Council who attend have increased their programming as well as their membership. • 88 % of Council who attend, have a planning calendar and budget by the next training class • When your councils are successful, your job as friend, mentor and guide becomes not only easier but more fun! • 97 % of Council who attend the training classes file forms and audits on time. • 99% of the men who have attended the training know how and why the chamber is to be set up i.e. the importance of our ceremonials • They understand that being a strong right arm of the church is more than just words, it is putting those words into action.
