Management Lab • The research proposal is to be defined in close cooperation between MSM, the researcher and the company, and is undertaken under the umbrella of MsM’s Research Department • The research budget is awarded through a scholarship to the researcher and will be strictly administered by MsM. The normal contribution of a company to this budget is EUR 450 per month. • During the agreed period, with a minimum of 6 months, and a maximum of 5 years, the researcher will be located at the company on a part-time basis (e.g. 2 days per week). The researcher will therewith be able to undertake the research and consult the company and so contribute to the day to day practices.

About Topvintage • started on April 1, 2008 in a living room with a starting capital of 1000 euros • Sell female fashion (dresses, shoes, accessories) • TopVintage- winning the title of the Best Dutch Webshop Ladies fashion 2011, 2012 and 2013 • Winning the Rabobank award 2013 • Entered German market in 2013 • 26 employees early 2014

  9. The case…. • Owners: Jack and Angelique • “First round employees” still employed – some got promoted to teamleaders • Very fast growth of market share resulted in fast growth in number of employees • Company culture strongly impacted by owners’ personal style
