  3. Pre-listening • Not every word is important • Focus only on the information they need • Do not choose a listening that is too long

  4. While listening • Tell students to make notes • Once for overall comprehension • Then reply for specific details Tips: • Divide students into groups • Exchange their answers and listen again to check them

  5. Post-listening • Compare their notes • Discuss in small groups • Encourage them to respond Advanced • Summary of the main point • Make a list of any new vocabulary they feel is useful
