Service learning integrates community service within educational contexts. In various initiatives, we collaborated with The Haven Battered Women’s Shelter by raising funds during a baseball game, contributing to their mission. We also organized a bake sale, "Cookies for Cancer," to support cancer research. At Ray City Community Library, I assisted in cataloging books and helping children access reading materials. Additionally, at the Relay for Life event, our team sold smoothies to raise awareness and funds for cancer. These experiences emphasized the importance of community engagement.

The Haven Battered Women’s Shelter We worked at a baseball game trying to raise money that would go to the Women’s Shelter.
Cookies for Caner • I baked cookies that would be sold in a bake sell to try to raise money for cancer.
Ray City Community Library • The man that owns the library was an educator for a long time and thinks it is very important for people to have opportunities to read. I help him put books into the computer and help children when they come from the day care.
Relay for Life • At the Relay for Life event we worked a booth selling smoothies to try to raise money for cancer.
