Assessing practical skills – Does the assessment fit the desired learning outcome? • In groups • Discuss the practical assessments you are involved in (10 min) • Some questions to consider… • What form does the assessment take? • Are you satisfied that the assessment is fit for purpose? • Does the marking scheme work? • Do the students get adequate feedback using this scheme? • Please jot down some “Pros” and “Cons” of the assessments on post it notes to go on a wall of fame (or shame)!
