How the Tally Sheet Works • The Library Tally Sheet uses PHP to record data into an MySQL database hosted by OIT. • Each click records: • Date, Time, and Day of the Week • Location (and IP address) • Type (Directional, IT, Traditional Reference, Other Services) • Question (A pull-down selection or text entry) • Service Details
Reports • While any combination of data is possible from the SQL data. • Several pre-made reports are always available: • Categories • Locations • Time of Day (by Month, by Semester, and by Semester and Location) • Questions • Service Details • Security Tallies (Entries and Visitor Log)
Graphical Data • Library Wide Tally Data • Category by Month • Count by Day of the Week • Count by Location • Time Spent by Location • Details by Term • Count and Time Spent by Hour • Count by Location • Count by Hour and Day • Time Spent by Hour and Weekday • Details by Department • Overview • Questions by Category
Attendance Data • Library Attendance data has three sources • Daily exit gate count readings • Hourly census counts between midnight and 7AM • Number of entrants between 7AM and 8AM • Attendance Data is maintained in Excel format and is available from 2002- • Attendance Data is presented by Term • Annual Totals • Monthly Totals • Gate Count: Weekly Totals and Daily Averages • Third Shift: Weekly Totals, Averages by Day and Hour, and % Women in Attendance
