  23. Product Reviews at PC Expo 2001 BayStack 420 Switch • The CRN Test Center at PC Expo recommends the BayStack 420-24T 10/100 Mbps Switch from Nortel Networks. --David Hafke • Nortel's menu-driven interface for setting the IP address and subnet mask with the switch's Web-based management interface was simple. • The menu-based telnet/console interface and the graphical Web-based interface are a boon to solution providers. Thanks to these luxuries, solution providers and administrators do not need to learn an additional command language to perform simple tasks, such as setting the speed and duplex of individual ports or assigning to VLANs. • Another pleasant facet of the BayStack is the relative silence in which it operates. When the unit is fully powered up, it merely emits a soft humming noise. Irrelevant? Perhaps, but it's a welcome relief to the loud rattling of most other network room equipment. • Visit the URL below for full report http://www.crn.com/Sections/TestCenter/TradeShow/PCExpo/PCExpoReview.asp?SectionID=12&Prod=27898
