  2. 1916 - Caroline Hunt DietFive Food Groups • meats & other protein-rich foods (2 to 3 servings + 1 cup milk) • cereals & other starchy foods (9 servings) • vegetables&fruits (5 servings a day) • fatty foods (9 servings- one tablespoon each) • sugars (10 servings - one tablespoon each)

  9. What to remember • Calories in gives us the fuel to energize our day • Calories out are the calories we burn each day • It does not help us to eat more calories to become a slave to a nutrition guideline
