At Cardiff School of Sport, we are dedicated to fostering employability among our students. With over 2,000 students enrolled in various programs and a remarkable 99% employability rate, we emphasize real-world experience. Our seven-year journey includes employing 110 students on zero-hours contracts in various roles, such as coaches and reception staff, and hosting over 60 volunteer placements in coaching, IT, and marketing. This strategic focus aligns with Cardiff Metropolitan's goal of achieving a 95% overall employability rate, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the workforce.

University Context • CardiffMet -11000 students • Employability – strategic goal • In the latest Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE) Survey, Cardiff Met has achieved a 95% 'employability' rate • Cardiff Metropolitan 19th highest in the UK for graduates going straight into employment or further study. • The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) study, six months after graduation, recorded 55% of Cardiff Met graduates in work in professional or managerial occupations.
