University Context • CardiffMet -11000 students • Employability – strategic goal • In the latest Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE) Survey, Cardiff Met has achieved a 95% 'employability' rate • Cardiff Metropolitan 19th highest in the UK for graduates going straight into employment or further study. • The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) study, six months after graduation, recorded 55% of Cardiff Met graduates in work in professional or managerial occupations.

Sports Facilities – seven year journey • Policy of employing students on zero hours contracts • Currently we employee 110 studentsas: • Coaches • Rec assistants • Reception staff • Health & fitness support • We also host 60 + volunteer placements • Coaching • IT • Marketing • Not without problems – but now part of our business model
