Introduction • All S.3 students are welcomed to find out what GPA at HKCE level is about. • You will study some basic political concepts like 'governmnet', 'state', 'sovereignty', 'democracy' etc. • A major part of the syllabus at HKCE level is about the system of government of Hong Kong SAR and current affairs. For Example:

A. • The relationship between Hong Kong SAR and the Central People's Government, according to the Basic Law. • The three branches of government namely the Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary.The role and functions of political parties, interest goups, the mass mwedia etc. • The rights and duties of citizens in Hong Kong.

  4. B. • A basic understanding of the system of government in People's Republic of China.

  5. Suitability to take G.P.A. • You are most welcomed to take this subject in S.4 & 5 if you are interested in politics and your English must be good.
