  4. The Legend Of Chinese New Year • According to the legend people were tormented by a monster called Nian with a huge mouth that swallowed humans in one bite .Finally a old man killed it by tricking it in to reality. • Chinese new year is praying for a new good year.

  5. Chinese people would pray to statues and put food next to the statues for fortune and good luck.

  6. There is a big parade with a huge dragon with dancers under it.

  7. The Chinese celebrate many holidays which took place on real days on the Lunar calendar.

  8. The lunar calendar is a calendar that has important dates on in for Chinese people.
