Did You Know? • The Cave of Crystals near Chihuahua, Mexico contains the world’s largest known natural crystals. • Some of the oldest crystals are 600,000 years old! • The temperature in the cave is 136° F. Scientists in the cave must wear special cooling suits so they don’t overheat. • Your fingernail can easily scratch these crystals made of selenite.
