  3. Dues • $15 for the entire year • There is no pro rate • $15 to enter semester long competition

  4. Competition • Starts the Monday after the 4th meeting. September 20th • Will last until the Friday before the last meeting of the semester.

Mergers and Acquisition • The Genzyme (GENZ) board rejected a $18.5 billion offer that translated into $69 per share of Sanofi-Aventis (SNY). • Intel (INTC) recently bought the wireless unit of German chipmaker Infineon (IFX), for $1.4 billion. • BHP Billiton (BHP) is still after Potash (POT) for about $12 billion and Reuters reports that word is the sale is focused on nitrogen and phosphates.
