Writing the Film Analysis • First step is to do some additional research on the making of this movie (BYOD) • Here are some good places to start: • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Nx7kbjqbJY • http://deadline.com/2012/12/fleming-qas-moonrise-kingdom-director-wes-anderson-394927/ • Annotate secondary sources, and take good prewriting notes • Review film notes • Locate and define the theme you wish to emphasize with your analysis.(this will likely be your thesis) • Identify the film elements of a specific scene, but be sure that it connects to your theme!! • Remember to adopt high diction, SAT level vocabulary, and use specific examples from the film to always prove your thesis. • Refer to the JFK exemplar we reviewed at the beginning of class if you need help. • PROOFREAD, PROOFREAD, PROOFREAD!!!!!!!!
