Strengthening UAB Research Partnerships: Open Session Forums

The Office of Grants and Contracts Administration (OGCA) at UAB is hosting a series of Open Session forums aimed at fostering a closer partnership between UAB administration and the research community. These 1.5-hour sessions will create a platform for participants to voice their questions, share suggestions, and discuss improvements in the management of sponsored research funding. OGCA officers from various specialized areas will provide insights and resources to address challenges and enhance communication within the research administration landscape.

  1. OGCA Open Session In an effort to create a stronger partnership between UAB administration and UAB’s research community, the Office of Grants and Contracts Administration is offering a series of “Open Session” forums designed to improve communications,  share suggestions, and discuss possible improvements or solutions to problems that arise in the acquisition and administration of sponsored research funding.  Open sessions will be one and one half hour sessions where participants can bring their questions to the floor for group discussion.  There will be officers from each specialized area of OGCA to provide feedback on each question and offer additional resources when available. Merging the Gap Between Administration and Research. New Procedures. New Strategies. New Directions.
