  29. The “New Look” Web Site

  30. The Matrix

  31. How many times in the past few years have you seen this email plea: Does anyone have …………….? or I’m wondering if anyone has created a …….? The reality is that there are great resources available from every state – if only we knew what they were and where we could easily get them.

  32. Concept • Create a central web site for physical activity coordinators & staff to access for existing resources. (Stop lengthy searches or “recreating the wheel”!) Conditions: • Make it easy to submit information to the site • Make it easy to find information on the site • Do it relatively quickly • Do it inexpensively

  33. Current (& free) Access to the Matrix

  34. by Category Select by Category or by State

  35. by State Select by Category or by State

  36. Matrix Info on The “New Look” Web

  37. 549 Resources from 35 States

  38. Posting Resources 1) To post hyperlinks: Each State has a designated person who has posting rights Drop down lists 2) To post documents

  39. Where do we go from here… • The Matrix is not getting a lot of “hits” • Then again, the website as a whole is not getting a lot of hits Philosophical questions of: “What do we want to do to drive people to the web?” and …. “Do we want to promote more entry of info and use of the Matrix?”

  40. We still need/want your help Complete your State Information!
