NIH > $20 Billion Capacity/Competitive Currently: 90%-10% After 7 years: 58%-42% Enhanced competitive pool is comprised of 1890’s, 1994’s and Small 1862’s 1st number in each box represents the FY2006 Actual Baseline. 2nd number represents what the growth could be at the end of 7 years should 100% of authorized funds be appropriated. Allocation of growth is at 70% Competitive and 30% Capacity ratios. As is the case now, all funds are subject to appropriations. All amounts are x $1,000. No reduction in existing capacity!
