  2. Early Years Michael Jeffery Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He is one of five children raised by Deloris and James Jordan. Then, after James Jordan got done being trained for his job, the family moved back to North Carolina.

  3. Early Years, life in North Carolina When Michael and his family moved back to North Carolina, James Jordan built a small Basketball court behind their house. After it was built, Michael and his older brother, Larry, would play 1 on 1 games for hours. The two of them then named the court “ The Rack”. But their fun depended on their school work. Fast Fact: Michael Jordan's’ favorite sport at first was Baseball.

  4. High School When Michael got to high school, he was a great basketball player, and a great student. When he tried out for the high school basketball team, he wanted to be a varsity player, but despite his efforts, he only made the junior varsity team. He still lead the team to a championship though. When he finished high school, he got a sports scholarship to play for the North Carolina Tar Heels.

  5. College Awesome Video When Michael was in his Freshmen year with the Tar Heels, he was 6’ 5” tall. He mostly made gravity look like it didn’t exist. He also won the NCAA championship in his freshmen year. But, in hi junior year, he dropped out of college to go to the NBA. He came back to college in 1986 to get his bachelor's degree in Geography. Michael retired 2 times be for playing for the Wizards. He played basketball for more then 12 seasons total, and made more then 60 million dollars. Be for he completely retired in 2003.

  7. Comparison to his look alike, LeBron James Michael Jordan and James both play basketball, but LeBron play’s present day. Michaels stats put James in the dust. Both are good dunkers, and great 3 point shooters.
