To become more light and shallow and entertainment-orientated... The popular God of fun-church is simply too small and too affable to hold a hurricane in his hand.” John Piper

No Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?... ...In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” Revelation 21:1-5
“I have... Been in prison... Been flogged... Been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own people, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea, in danger from false believers. I have laboured and toiled and often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked...” “Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all...” “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal”
