Thesis- argument of the paper • Supporting arguments- reasons that support your argument • Counter argument- reason that opposes your argument and a discrediting of this argument • Restated thesis- argument of the paper in different words • Underline and label each of these in the model text.   4. Complete a field analysis of the first 8 sentences of the model text. • Find the process by asking, “What is happening?” • Find the participant by asking, “Who or what is involved?” • Write them in the chart on your guided note taking sheet. Field analysis
