  1. 5 On Duty Risks for Security Guards As a security professional, risks and hazards are a part of the job. Each officer is well aware that at any moment an emerging incident they are engaging could turn unfavorable very quickly, and they could find themselves in the middle of the dangerous situation. It is up to each individual who has been hired to review and internalize the concepts, requirements, and standards laid out by the company. This will reduce liability, keep the officer safe, and help them stay compliant with company standards, but there are always some risks that an officer may face.
