  39. MGNT 4333 – Human Resource Information Systems • This course is currently being taught for the fourth time. • It is an elective for students pursuing the HR emphasis in BBA – Management. • For IS majors, it is one of the courses in the ERP emphasis and counts toward the SAP Certificate.

  40. MGNT 4333 Beginning Fall 2007, the required textbook is a SAP book. This is being supplemented by numerous articles on HRIS (HRMS) systems.

MGNT 4333: Major Components • Lectures on key concepts • Webinars: Product demos (typically 4-6) • Guest speakers (typically 2-4) • One specializes in developing SAP applications for HR • Group Project (Developing a business case for a HRIS investment) • A running case (C&H Fabrication) is used to provide organization context for business case for recommended solution • SAP Exercises using HR module • First three are also used in ERP course • Last one is take home component of final; it is used to validate student learning in previous SAP exercises.
