  3. All-USA Timeline Mid-September, 2007 Applications disseminated November 30, 2007 Applications due at Headquarters March, 2008 All nominees notified April, 2008 AACC Convention First Team featured in USA TODAY

  4. All-USA Eligibility Eligibility: • Must obtain an associate degree between December 1, 2007, and August 31, 2008, or transferring to a university (All students must have a minimum of 45 semester college-level credits by 12/31/07 and 53 credits by 8/31/08) • Two students per campus may be nominated • Minimum cumulative 3.25 GPA with a minimum of 30 semester college-level credit hours over the past 5 years

  5. All-USA Rewards • 60 team members are named; top 20 receive $2,500 stipends and are honored at the AACC Convention and featured in USA TODAY in April 2008 New Century Scholars • Highest-scoring student in each state receives $2,000, and is honored at AACC All-State Academic Teams • 34 States sponsor All-State Academic Teams offering more than $41 million in scholarships • Students must be nominated for All-USA in order to participate

The Guistwhite Scholarships • Active member of Phi Theta Kappa • Graduate with an associate degree between December 1, 2007, and August 31, 2008 or transfer to a university (All students must have 45 semester college-level credits by 12/31/07 and 53 credits by 8/31/08) • Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA for all coursework from the past five years • Admitted to a four-year college with junior level status and enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester in 2008 • Must have a minimum of 30 semester college-level credits completed over the past 5 years

  7. The Guistwhite Scholarships • Up to twenty Guistwhite Scholars receive $5,000 each • Winners are recognized on-stage at the Phi Theta Kappa International Convention

  8. Leaders of Promise • Phi Theta Kappa member in good standing currently enrolled in a community college • Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA • Completed no more than 36 semester hours as of January 31, 2007 • No previous degree • Must continue enrollment at a community college for Fall 2007 • Application deadline April 27, 2007 • http://www.ptk.org/schol/leadpromise/

The National Dean’s List • Members reported between May 1, 2006, and April 30, 2007, are automatically nominated to the National Dean’s List in June 2007 • No application required; simply return the biographical form mailed to members directly from the National Dean’s List in the summer • 50 winners, selected at random (one per state), receive $250 each

  10. Four-Year CollegeTransfer Scholarships • More than 600 colleges and universities in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and England • Approximately $36 million available • eScholarship Directory http://www.ptk.org/schol/schol_dir.htm
