  5. The Holland Code • Divides people into 6 types • Realistic • Investigative • Social • Enterprising • Conventional • Artistic Clue: Note The Underlined letter of each type

  6. Realistic • Are Physically Strong • Tend to be Mechanically and athletically inclined • Like to build things with tools • Like the outdoors • Have weak verbal and interpersonal skills

  7. Investigative • Are Scientific • Get wrapped up in their work • Think through problems • Hate repetitive activities • Buy telescopes, calculators, electronic equipment • Strong need to understand the world

  8. Social • Sociable, responsible, humanistic, religious • Like to work in groups • Good verbal and inter personal skills • Dislikes machines and highly structured situations • Likes to discuss philosophy • Cooperative and friendly

  9. Enterprising • Good verbal skills • Strong leader • Strong drive to reach goals • High energy • Buys big cars, nice clothes, country club member • Loves power, status • Values money and material possessions
