Egypt Initiates An International Tender To Procure 50,000 Tonnes Of Sugar Egypt's state grain buyer i.e. the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), announced on Monday that it is seeking bids for 50,000 tonnes of raw cane sugar and/or 50,000 tonnes of white sugar. The statement stated that 50-kilogram units are the recommended packaging size for white sugars. The deadline for submitting offers is set for Saturday, 6th January. According to GASC's statement, shipment arrival is expected between 20th February and 5th March , and/or 6-20 March. GASC initiated this tender on behalf of Egypt's Holding Company for Food Industries, with representation from the Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Company (ESIIC), which will receive the shipment.
