  1. Tips to Be HIPAA Compliant by Protecting Patient Data Currently, we have the latest technology that uses our faces to unlock some devices. But, it doesn’t mean that it can prevent your data loss resulting from vulnerable image management. Now, the questions are that how you do deal with your patients’ images and you put them on a local hard drive or somewhere else. You may be probably one of the victims to loss data and images if you have chosen any one of some specific options. The options that are at risk include filing cabinet, image router, hard drive, or local PACS. If you’re not one of them, you can take the right step to keep your patients’ records protected. No matter which DICOM imaging software you’re using, you always should give the highest attention to the private health information and to keep them safe.

  2. Burglar Protection in Hospitals You might be under great protection that even thieves honor it to keep your premise out of risk. Likewise, when it comes to protecting your hospital or imaging centers keep off from risks, think again. Businesses are never safe from the eyes of thieves. For example, a robbery happened in 2014 in an outpatient department in California. When the burglary occurred too many things have stolen. Among them, a hard drive stole that had medical images of more than 34,000 patients. So, you’re safe nowhere in the world along with your patient images. Protect Yourself & PHI If it needs nothing to violate HIPAA, it doesn’t take more effort to make sure you’re passing the line. It could be up to $1M in the amount of HIPAA. Even it doesn’t start on how your GDPR is altering everything. You’ll find many ways to keep safe your patient images. In return, protect your business from the disorder that happens due to a breach. Some simple things you can do while looking to avoid this issue. As your data backup, always avoid using a physical or local drive. Try to learn from other people’s mistakes that you can avoid everlastingly. This is just not safe enough if you might choose it up and go with it. Also, it doesn’t truly count as your backup if it’s at your location. It means that you’re at a big risk of getting noncompliant if you’re using a local DICOM viewer software or image router at your business. Another secret is that you must not believe your vendor all the time, which sounds a bit weird. But, many vendors don’t provide you full compliance with

  3. what they offer. This doesn’t mean they’re not good for work with while the matter depends on what they say and what they provide. Final Thought If you think your patients’ images are safe enough, think it once again. It’s because the images are likely to not to be there where they should be. It’s very important to avoiding everlasting data loss and heavy penalties from HIPAA while having to implement the right form of backup.
