  1. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

For producing my magazine, I would want a successful, well known company to take control in the publishing and selling things, I would however not want a company that sells many magazines of completely different types. These would be aiming at a mass audience whereas I’m trying to aim at a niche audience, so this may prove to be a bad decision to make if so. I would also like to consider how well they sell their products and at what prices, as this really can effect the overall result of your magazines profits and success.

  3. Company wise, I think the media/magazine industry companies like Bauer Media Group would be an institution that would be interested in producing my magazine. Its institution are known for producing many music magazines and particularly, the popularity of their rock and modern music brands. This company would be ideal for if I was selling my magazine as they already have experience with and are primarily based for the type of audience I would be aiming for with my project. Plus they are well known for producing very successful pieces of media.

  4. Bauer Media Group The Bauer Media Group is a multinational group and was founded in 1875, Germany. It is a privately run company and is responsible for many successful magazine and television titles; Bauer Media are also known for co working/owning some of their music content/channels with Channel 4. They have offices all over the world and are an extremely successful company. I believe they would be a great host for my product as it is content that they would be comfortable with and help bring its full potential out through it’s publication. I also think that it would be a good idea to work with this company as they would be trust worthy what with running very successful, independent/specific magazines already. It would also be great profit wise as they are known for successfully selling thousands o magazines at quite high prices (such as £4.99) and not getting any complaints.
