Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream)

Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream) is used to treat a variety of fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch. This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs.

Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Terbicip Cream (Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream) is used to treat fungal infections of the skin such as tinea pedis (interdigital/plantar type), tinea cruris and tinea corporis caused by dermatophytes like Trichophyton (e.g. T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. tonsurans, T. violaceum), Microsporum canis and Epidermophyton floccosum. This medicine is also used to treat yeast infections of the skin, principally those caused by the genus Candida (e.g. Candida albicans) as well as Pityriasis (tinea) versicolor, due to Pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as Malassezia furfur). © The Swiss Pharmacy

  6. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Uses of Terbicip 1% Cream: Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream) is used to treat a variety of skin infections caused by a fungus. It works by killing the fungus or preventing its growth. Terbinafine 1% cream is applied to the skin to treat: Ringworm of the body (tinea corporis); Ringworm of the foot (interdigital and plantar tinea pedis; athlete's foot); Ringworm of the groin (tinea cruris; jock itch); Tinea versicolor (sometimes called “sun fungus”), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs; and Yeast infections of the skin (cutaneous candidiasis) Terbinafine is an antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.   7. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Recommended Adult Dosage For most patients, Terbicip Cream Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) can be applied once or twice daily. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Recommended Adult Dosage Wash the affected skin thoroughly with soap and water and dry completely before applying Terbicip Cream (Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream). Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected skin and surrounding areas and rub in lightly. In the case of intertriginous infections (sub-mammary, interdigital, intergluteal, inguinal), the application may be covered with a gauze strip, especially at night. Relief of clinical symptoms occurs within a few days. Irregular use or premature discontinuation of treatment carries the risk of recurrence. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Storage Instructions Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) has to be stored at controlled room temperature i.e. from 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) with excursions permitted between 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F).   11. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Warnings Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream) is for external use only. Do not use on nails or scalp, in or near the mouth or for vaginal yeast infections. Keep out of the reach of children. Terbinafine 1 % Cream cream may be irritating to the eyes. Contact with the eyes should be avoided. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse eyes thoroughly with running water. Infants must not be allowed to come into contact with any treated skin, including the breast.   12. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Warnings In the event of allergic reaction, the cream should be removed and the treatment interrupted. Use the medication for the full treatment time, even though symptoms may have improved. Patients should not to smoke or go near naked flames - risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it. Candidiasis: It is not recommended to use acid pH soap. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Possible Side Effects Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) side effects include local symptoms such as pruritus, skin exfoliation, application site pain, application site irritation, pigmentation disorder, skin burning sensation, erythema and scab may occur at the site of application. These minor symptoms must be distinguished from hypersensitivity reactions such as widespread pruritis, rash, bullous eruptions and hives which are reported in sporadic cases but require discontinuation. In rare cases, the underlying fungal infection may be aggravated. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Possible Side Effects The following side effects have been observed: Common: Skin exfoliation, pruritus Uncommon: Skin lesion, scab, skin disorder, pigmentation disorder, erythema, skin burning sensation, application site pain, irritation Rare: Eye irritation, Dry skin, dermatitis contact, eczema, Condition aggravated Not known: Adverse drug reaction such as Acute Generalised Exanthematous Pustulosis (AGEP) has been observed with the use of terbinafine formulations. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Terbicip Cream Overdosage The low systemic absorption of topical Terbinafine cream (Terbicip Cream) makes the possibility of overdosage highly unlikely. In case a larger amount of Terbinafine cream be inadvertently ingested, adverse effects similar to those observed with an overdosage of Terbinafine tablets are to be expected. These include headache, nausea, epigastric pain and dizziness. The recommended treatment of overdosage consists of eliminating the medicine, primarily by the administration of activated charcoal and giving symptomatic supportive therapy, if needed.   17. Terbicip Cream (Generic Terbinafine Cream) Terbicip Cream During Pregnancy Terbinafine Hydrochloride (Terbicip Cream) has been classified by the US FDA as Pregnancy Category B. Oral doses of Terbinafine Hydrochloride up to 300 mg/kg/day (in terms of mg/m2/day equivalent to 180 and 404 times the maximum potential exposure at the recommended topical human dose) during organogenesis in rats and rabbits, respectively, were not teratogenic. There is no clinical experience with Terbinafine in pregnant women. Terbinafine 1 % Cream (Terbicip Cream) should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary.
