Enables a Voice of Civil Society (where there is no congruent voice) Strengthen culture and identity (at a time when global homogenization is gaining momentum) Increases social cohesion Strengthens communities (at a time when community and volunteerism is waning) (Civil Society has the role of developing culture and includes community organisations, churches, ethnic organisations, women’s groups, environmental organisations, cultural organisations, schools / universities, sports clubs, etc.) Civil Society Benefits

Strengthens Local Government “Community Outcomes” programme Strengthens democracy (at a time when democracy is being weakened globally) Increases public participation and voter turnout (at a time when community and public participation is on the wane) Create a more sustainable society within unstable global conditions Government Benefits
