  1. India and its Community Types Indian Communities refer to a group of people, belonging to a certain religion and believing in one single united cause. The term Indian communities perhaps cannot be credited to any single individual. An omnipresent and unseen demarcation line had existed amongst the various Indian communities. Indian Communities under Hinduism The gigantic awareness of belonging to a higher caste or higher religious order paved way for first ever establishment of Hindu religious community, divided into Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras. These four cardinal Hindu caste systems were further sub-divided into their own specific community, a concept that is very much retained in present-day Indian society. Some of the Hindu communities are Dangri Caste, Maithil Community, Dumal Caste, Chadar Caste, Lingayat Community Dangri Caste :- Dangri is a small caste of Maharashtra. This caste mainly comprises water-melon and vegetable growers. The name of Dangri caste has been derived from the word dangar or dangra, which means a water-melon. Maithil Community :- Maithil Community is a Hindu Brahmin community from the Mithila region that lies in northern and eastern Bihar of India. Maithil community is one of the five divisions or Panch Gaur of Brahmin caste in northern India. Dumal Caste :- Dumal caste is an agricultural caste mostly found in the state of Orissa. However, they are also found in some other states of Eastern India. The caste claims that they were previously a branch of the Gaurs, with whom they have no special connection presently. The caste derives their name from a village known as Dumba Hadap. Some scholars suggest that the Dumal or Jadupuria Gaura is a group of local formation.

  2. Chadar Caste :- Chadar caste is a small caste of weavers and village watchmen. They are mainly the residents of several regions of Saugor, Damoh District, Jabalpur District and Narsinghpur District. However, Chadar caste is not largely found outside the northern districts of the Central Provinces of India. Lingayat Community:- Lingayat Community is an Indian Community that dates back to the 12th century AD and are also known as Virashaivites or militant Shaivite. This sect was characterised by an anti-Brahmanical sprit. The Kakatiya kings of Andhra Pradesh, the Sangama kings of the Vijayanagar Empire and others were all Lingayats.
