Provides Mission Data Updates and Other Critical Information to the Cruiser/Destroyer Provides High Data Rate Capability to Support Afloat C4I Requirements Provides Dual Capability for Direct GMF Connectivity to Flag/Flag Capable Platforms COMMS/NET C4ISR OTHER BUSI IT ISR/IO C2 ‘FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY’ J55580 - SHF / DSCS RF and MODEM Support SSC Contact Info: (Greg Freeland/55580/757.558.6809/gregory.freeland@navy.mil) Sponsor: PEO C4I and Space Description: Provide all Navy ships Reliable High Capacity, Interoperable Worldwide Communications for Naval & Joint Warfighting and NATO Interoperability via the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) Satellites and Wideband Gapfiller System (WGS). Provide support for variants of the AN/WSC-6, RF Modem and SHF Baseband systems. This involves technical assistance to various commands that have or will have AN/WSC-6(V) equipment, RF Modems and Baseband requirements. Support newly developed RF Modem and SHF Baseband testing via exercises using existing lab assets and facilities. • Major Accomplishments, Products, • Deliverables, Future Milestones: • Installed and SOVT modems at Teleport and STEP facilities. • Provide technical support during EBEM implementation. • Provide technical support during IP modem development. • Multiple SOVTs of all AN/WSC-6(V) system variants. • Production of baseband systems to support CG/DDG class ships • Develop AN/WSC-6(V)9 improvements to provide enhanced multiband capability. • Accomplished various engineering and field changes (EC/FC). • Operational Relevance: • RF to Digital compatibility and interoperability • Teleport gateway standardization • External communications for the following transports: • - HSGR/ADMS- ADNS • External communications for the following services: • - SIPRNET/NIPRNET- VIXS- Secure Telephone Unit (STU-III/STE)- Coalition LAN- POTS  ‘FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY’ Date (08/08/29)
