  3. What is Social Value? The value of the wider impact of an activity or organisation, particularly in terms of the economic, social and environmental impact. Including positive and negative impacts Including longer term impact

  4. Social Value: A Definition “A concept which seeks to maximise the additional benefit that can be created by procuring or commissioning goods and services, above and beyond the benefit of merely the goods and services themselves”. Chris White MP 

  5. Social Value v Best Value? Not so much Social Value v Best Value Social Value considers best value in a longer term context – taking in wider consequences, longer term impacts. Full Value?

  6. How Social Value Will be Created? The Tameside List – things that create Social Value (positive social, economic and environmental impact). (Things that can be done by Commissioners, Voluntary, Community and Faith Organisations, CVAT and others).
