  3. Auyantepuy In western Canaima National Park is Auyantepuy Auyantepuy is known as tepuy, a flat mountain ending with vertical walls. This tepuy is where Angel Falls is formed

  4. The Name Named after American aviator that discovered the Falls in 1937 Local Indians already knew of it so they called it the Churún Merú
