    2. The Life of a Shoe "On a piece of paper, start by brainstorming some of the places where you typically find your shoes in the morning. When you have a thorough brainstorm, continue to the next prompt.

    3. The Life of a Shoe "Now brainstorm what it would be like if you were a shoe and someone put a foot in you in the morning? How could you describe that? Then imagine being tied - how could you describe that? Write some ideas down. When you have, continue to the next prompt.

    4. The Life of a Shoe "Next think about the floor in your house. What are the different surfaces there like? Come on, think like a shoe - which surfaces would your shoe enjoy? Hate? Why? Describe!!! When you have some good details, continue to the next prompt.

    5. The Life of a Shoe "How do you get to school or work or? Walk? Again, think surfaces and other outdoor experiences for shoes. Ride a bike? What would that be like? Skateboard? Bus? Car? What could you step on? In? What is hard on shoes? Fun for shoes? Write down ideas, then continue to the next prompt.

    6. The Life of a Shoe "Now brainstorm school or work or the beach or? Remember think like a shoe...BE the shoe. What do things look like, smell like, feel like DOWN THERE where shoes are? The good, the bad and the ugly. After doing some writing, continue to the next prompt.

    7. The Life of a Shoe "Now imagine the rest of your day right up until you're thrown in the closet or under the bed or wherever. Write some more ideas about the life of your shoes. When you have some ideas written down, continue to the next prompt for your final instruction."

    8. The Life of a Shoe "Finally, look over all your brainstorms and put your very best ideas into one story about life from your shoes' point-of-view. Make sure your story has plenty of sole. Don't be a loafer! Have fun! You might even illustrate your story by drawing your shoes.
