  2. Objective 10/30 • Students will write about their influences, citing specific details from their lives. • Students will explain the personal statement, what is expected of them and what is required. • STUDENTS WILL TURN IN THEIR PERSUASIVE LETTER TOMORROW –100 points!

  3. Quick Write • Think of an adult (teacher, coach, etc.) who helped you and encouraged you to be your best and reach your goals. Explain the situation and describe how they encouraged you.

  5. Go BACK! • Circle the two prompts. Reread them. Do you understand what they are asking? • Underline the stuff you think is important. Put a “!” in the margin. • Put a “?” by stuff about which you have a question. • Put a “??” by stuff that confuses you.

  6. Quick Write • Name One Accomplishment of which you are very proud. Describe what you did, what you learned and how it made you feel.

  7. Objective 10/31 • Students will write • about their personality in a paragraph. • Students will write a response to a question about the personal statement.
