  2. SILOGISMO CATEGORICO Es un silogismo compuesto por exactamente tres proposiciones categóricas (dos premisas y una conclusión). Que es • Universal afirmativa (proposiciones-A): Todo S es P • Universal negativa (proposiciones-E): Ningún S es P • Particular afirmativa (proposiciones-I): Algunos S son P • Particular negativa (proposiciones-O): Algunos S no son P Subdivisiones EJEMPLOS • Todos los gatos son animales. • Algunos gatos son negros. • Por lo tanto, algunos animales son negros. • Todo M es S • Algunos M son P • Por lo tanto, algunos S son P

SILOGISMOS HIPOTETICOS Y DISYUNTIVOS SILOGISMO HIPOTÉTICO MIXTO Se llama hipotético mixto al silogismo que está formado por una premisa mayor hipotética, una premisa menor categórica y una conclusión también categórica. SILOGISMOS HIPOTÉTICOS. El silogismo hipotético se caracteriza por estar formado por juicios hipotéticos. SILOGISMO HIPOTÉTICO DISYUNTIVO Si la premisa mayor es a la vez hipotética y disyuntiva, tenemos el silogismo hipotético disyuntivo. Este silogismo tiene dos modos: modus ponens (afirmativo) y modus tollens (negativo). SILOGISMO DISYUNTIVO El silogismo disyuntivo es similar al hipotético mixto, pues su premisa mayor es disyuntiva mientras que la menor y la conclusión son categóricas.
