  2. Welcome to the tutorial on Searching the University Library Catalog to locate E-Books. On the Library homepage, select “Library Catalog” located under “Research Tools.”

  3. Under “Guided Searches” click on the “Advanced Search” link.

  4. Next, select “E-Books” located under “Material Type.”

  5. Then, type in your keywords and click the “Submit” button. For the purpose of this tutorial, I typed in the keywords “public administration.”

  6. The results yielded 573 E-Books. You will know that it is an E-Book because of the book icon and letter “e” on the book image located to the left of the title.

  7. You can access an E-Book by clicking on the hyper-texted word “Website.”

  8. If you clicked on the title of the E-Book, you can access it by clicking on the hyper-texted wording “An electronic book...” You will need to put in your username and password.
