  3. Reduce Your Car’s Emissions • Keep your car tuned up • Replace your air oil and fuel filters on time and when scheduled to • Keep your tires inflated…this can save 400-700 lbs of CO2 per year! • Accelerating slowly and smoothly, driving on the speed limit and maintaining a steady speed

  4. Reducing Transportation Emission • Use a bike or walk to work • Car pool • Use public transportation • Buy products online and don’t make trips that are unnecessary

  5. Reducing Home Emissions • Use compact fluorescent light bulbs • Weather stripping, caulking and insulation • Buy ENERGY STAR appliances • Get appliances that are only necessary and not extra ones • Turn faucets off while brushing teeth or shaving, set certain amount of water a day to showers

  6. Things to keep in mind • If you do have a large carbon footprint or a large output or carbon emission try and plant trees or bushes or have a garden to make up for it. • Always remember to recycle and re-use products • Don’t waste electricity, turn off lights or appliances (TV’s, radios, game systems, computers) when they aren’t being used, close refrigerator doors, open windows in summer and use fans instead of using air conditioning
