  3. DIRECTIONS for ASL to ENGLISH • Two Partners sit facing each other. • One partner (A) will be facing the screen, the other (B) will have their back to the screen. • Partner A (when told to do so) will sign the 10 ASL Gloss sentences they see to Partner B. They must sign it exactly as they see it, they can not change it or modify it. Partner B is never allowed to turn around and see the sentences. • Partner B will then write an English translation on their paper. • If the sentence is needed again, Partner B will sign “AGAIN” and Partner A will repeat it. • If they still don’t get it after 3 attempts, Partner A will skip it and move on to the next sentence. • When all 10 sentences are finished, Partner B will pass their paper over to Partner A for correction. Partner A will check the ones that are incorrect and then pass the paper back to B and sign them again. This may be done as many times as is needed before time is called to stop.

  11. DIRECTIONS for ASL to ENGLISH • Two Partners sit facing each other. • One partner (A) will be facing the screen, the other (B) will have their back to the screen. • Partner A (when told to do so) will sign the 10 English sentences they see to Partner B. • They must translate it in their minds into ASL and then sign it for their partner who will then write an English translation on their paper. Partner B is never allowed to turn around and see the sentences on screen. • If the sentence is needed again, Partner B will sign “AGAIN” and Partner A will repeat it. Partner A may use alternate signs to help explain what they don’t understand, but they may not use fingerspelling as a sign substitute.
