EVALUATION OF PERFORMACE OFSELF AND GROUP MEMBERS Please rate the performance of yourself and the other members of your group by assigning a percentage you/they contributed to the projects of your group’s assignment. Rate yourself first. The total percentages must add up to 100% for each project. Process At the beginning of the semester provide a simple evaluation form Lets students know they will evaluate self &each member of the group Emphasize to students the need for accountability to self and to others The form stays with students until the end of semester Allows them to comment along the way Provides a nagging reminder that there will be a day of reckoning 360o Assessment
  10. IN-CLASS PEER EVALUATION Please evaluate the group’s presentation in each of the five areas below. The bullet point criteria in each section will serve as a guide to the elements students are expected to include in their presentations. Please add any comments at the bottom of the page or on the reverse. Process Before each group makes its presentation the audience is given a form Asked to watch & listen to the presentation, & provide honest feedback Comments will be shared with group anonymously for greater candor Provides a list of things for the student to look for, consider and rate Must sum the points given to the five section for a total score Audience members write comments for the group and for individual members of the group Once the presenting group is finished, the audience is give five minutes to complete the form 360o Assessment

Instructor Evaluation Before each presentation divide a blank piece of paper into sections for each group member During the presentation jot down notes to critique each student and the group a whole Meet privately with group Each member must explain what they did well and where they can improve Read aloud the peer evaluations and discuss the audience’s evaluation Third, the instructor reviews his/her comments. Finally, students are given a final chance to share what they learned. In the end the evaluation process is more consistent, reliable, and the students being evaluated feel they understand what they need to improve their skills. 360o Assessment
