  1. Meditation Class 5 (Back to list of classes)

  2. Chakras

  3. There are two things that should be kept in mind:

  4. First, the chart that you will see shortly relates the chakras to the Eternal Divine Path. The Greatest Sign is a yantra of that Path.

  5. We are told in the Bhagavad-Gita, “When righteousness is weak and faints and unrighteousness exalts, then My Spirit arises on Earth.”

  6. This has happened again and again over the last 6,000 years.

  7. The result of this happening is the opening, one by one, of the Seven Seals.

  8. These Seven Seals have always been opened by the angel, the First Begotten Son of God.

  9. Therefore, all the messages of all Seven Seals have now been revealed to humanity.

  10. To understand the Eternal Divine Path is to understand also the operation of the chakras.

  11. Second, there are different levels in each chakra.

  12. As a person begins to step onto the Path he comes from ignorance to the Path of Enlightenment, by His Grace.

  13. He begins as one who is poor in spirit, and continues to be so until he overcomes his lower nature at the point of rising from the third to fourth chakra.

  14. Now we will see the chart on chakras. We can learn about the glands they affect, their elements, shapes, colors, sounds, dominating force, Sanskrit names, notes, corresponding Koshas and Lokas. For more Information: Read “Universe and Man”)

  15. That is a lot of information to consider in one class. Ask questions so that your instructor knows where your interests lie (or e-mail us at: question@maitreya.org)

  16. On the three slides following the chart, you will find the footnotes for *, **, +

  17. Universe and Man Summarized Source: THOTH, Universe and Man, Tablet 6

  18. *These colors represent the propensities of each chakra in higher levels: “gold” as the kundalini in the first chakra (overcoming fear of not being provided one’s physiological and safety needs, and death), “white” as compassion changed from passion in the second, and “orange-red” as overcoming the use of power for worldly gains. “Smokey” is a balance and “rainbow” is knowledge of all. The true colors of the chakras vary according to many factors which affect them.

  19. **Present means they can be evoked but are completely dominated by the dominating force or forces. However, the present force usually is dormant.

  20. +Active force means the force is active but not the dominator. So when the mutative is active but satva is only present and tama dominate, the mutative force which has no polarity of itself will be crudified (become negative) and will be bent (directed) toward the external world.Again for more Information: Read “Universe and Man”)

  21. Our next class, Class 6, will relate the characteristics and operation of the gunas, desire or attainment, Seal, message, and pitfall predominant of each chakra.

  22. Though, hopefully, you are doing a meditation two times a day, these classes give each of you an opportunity to enjoy collective meditation.

  23. Again, if there is a meditation room, go there and begin your mantra meditation together. To Class 6
