He was chosen by lot for a once in a lifetime duty, to be the one who burned the incense before the Holy of Holies! GOD SPEAKS Using Gabriel - vs. 11 & 19 INITIAL RESPONSE Troubled - v. 12 CHOSEN RESPONSE Fear - v. 12 FAITH REJECTED Asks for proof - v. 18 UNABLE TO BLESS Couldn’t speak - vs. 20-22 Zechariah’s Day

  3. Mary was in the midst of being a betrothed woman. She had accepted a coin or letter from Joseph (the equivalent of our engagement ring), and was waiting for the day that Joseph would lead her into his house as wife. GOD SPEAKS Using Gabriel - v. 26 INITIAL RESPONSE Greatly troubled - v. 29 CHOSEN RESPONSE Sought understanding - v. 29 FAITH EMBRACED No sign needed - v. 34 A SERVANT HEART Ready to serve - v. 38 BLESSED BY GOD Received the promise - v. 42 Mary’s Day
