What is a Registered Community Partner in MI Bridges? • An agency in Michigan that registers in MI Bridges to help Michigan residents apply online for benefits by providing a computer or one-on-one assistance with applications • Agencies are not required to register to help someone apply on-line but there are benefits to registration with DHS • DHS will be updating the Community Partner registration process in May 2012 • All those registered with current process will be notified by DHS when new process is available

Direct link to State of Michigan for information and support • Known impact –you'll get an agency number and a pass code that is used to track applications submitted through your organization Assisting DHS to learn more about how the online application is being used and ways to improve Places you in community with other organizations to access best practices and shared benefits from cross promotion of programs Promotes the mission of community partners

  4. Current Method to Register as Community Partner Step 1 – Select “Community Partners Login”

  5. Step 2 –Select “Click Here” to register for the first time.

  6. Step 3 – Answer asterisk fields, save secret question and passcode to make changes to registered information.

  7. Registered! Use one Agency Number for all organization staff assisting people with applications.

  8. Step 4 – Enter Agency Number for each application assisted by your staff or completed on a computer owned by your agency. Must enter # for each application or will not be counted as coming from your agency.

  9. New Community Partner Registration ProcessAnticipated Availability: May 2012 • The formal registration process is under review by DHS right now, so far we know it will include submitting: • Name and Address(es) of Partner Organization • Name of Community Partner Authorized Representative (AR) • Contact Information for AR • Names of Persons who will be engaging households using MI Bridges • Background check of each person that will assist individuals with MI Bridges • Proof of Non-profit status of the partner organization

  10. New Community Partner Registration Process Continued • DHS will engage in some type of review process using the information submitted by potential Community Partners • Once the review process is complete an ID number will be issued by DHS • Partners will be responsible for “renewing” their partner status periodically
